Jason Judd

Jason Judd is Executive Director of the ILR New Conversations Project (part of the Scheinman Institute) which focuses on improving global labor practices. He previously led the Ship to Shore Rights Project at the International Labor Organization in Bangkok and served as Vice President of the Fair Labor Association in Washington, DC, where he directed all accountability programs including the FLA's Fair Compensation work.

He has worked in senior roles for the ILO's Better Work program, Demos (New York), the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the AFL-CIO, the Solidarity Center, and the Industrial Areas Foundation. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Financial Times, and on PBS. He is a former Fulbright Fellow, and holds an A.B. in Economics from Duke University and an M.P.A. from l'École Nationale d’Administration (ENA/RULE).

Teaching Statement

His teaching for ILR students as well as unions, global companies and regulators is International and Comparative Labor with focus on global labor practices, regulation of work along global supply chains and the interactions of trade and labor standards.

Research Statement

As part of the New Conversations Project, he researches the future of labor governance in global supply chains and emerging strategies for trade/labor linkages, collective action and social dialogue in apparel, food and other sectors.
