Jasjit Singh

Jasjit Singh is an Associate Professor of Strategy and the Shell Fellow in Business and the Environment at INSEAD. He is an Academic Director of the INSEAD Social Impact Initiative.

Jasjit has been an INSEAD professor since 2004. His interests include strategy, inclusive business, sustainable development, innovation, impact investing and impact evaluation. He is particularly passionate about how business and management tools can be used as a force for good. He regularly gives speeches, conducts workshops and advises managers, entrepreneurs, and investors on how to systematically think about their societal impact.

Jasjit obtained a PhD in Business Economics (Strategy) and an MA in Economics at Harvard University. He also holds an MS in Management and Computer Science from Georgia Tech, and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi. He is the author of numerous journal articles and case studies, many of which have won prestigious awards. He has been involved in editorial and reviewing roles for leading academic journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, the Management Science, and the Organization Science.

Jasjit regularly teaches in INSEAD’s MBA, EMBA and Executive Education programmes. He has recently co-directed the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ISEP) and the Leading the Business of Sustainability (LTBS) programme. He also conducts customised workshops for companies, government agencies, and development organisations. Prior to starting his academic career, Jasjit worked as a management consultant at Accenture and as an intern at Intel, AT&T, and Cadence. He is an Indian citizen and lives in Singapore.
