Presentation
Janine Leschke is an associate professor at the Department of Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School. She is Head of Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies (OMS) and has previously been Ph.D. coordinator for DBP. Between 2014 and 2017 she was the Danish lead partner in the FP7 project “Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Europe” (STYLE) which aimed to examine the obstacles and opportunities affecting youth employment in Europe. Previously she worked as a senior researcher at the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) and as a PhD fellow at the labour market policy and employment unit of Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Free University of Berlin. She has co-led a number of small international network projects and has been part of a range of European funded projects (e.g. Senior partner in Marie Curie Initial Training Network ‘Education as welfare: Enhancing capabilities for socially vulnerable youth in Europe’). She has been member of several European and national advisory committees among them the European Statistical Advisory Committee (ESAC) at Eurostat, the Council of Europe (committee on fostering social mobility) and Eurofound (advise on projects on convergence, job quality and youth). She is editor of the Journal of European Social Policy (JESP), editorial board member of the Industrial Relations Journal, member of the scientific advisory board of WSI Mitteilungen, and IZA policy fellow.
