Biography
Jane Guerin, an attorney and mediator, joined the faculty in 1989. She teaches several law courses including Business Law, Law for Entrepreneurs and Law and Management of Nonprofit Organizations. Since 1999, she has also taught in the LEAD Summer Program for the Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and in the Riordan Fellows Program. She also advises Full-time MBA field study teams. More recently, she has been the moderator for the Legal Issues Panel at UCLA Anderson's Entrepreneur Association Conference and taught in the Head Start - Johnson & Johnson Management Fellows Program.
In addition to teaching at UCLA, Ms. Guerin practices law, specializing in the areas of business structuring, corporate acquisitions, and nonprofit organizations. She also mediates employment, corporate, and partnership disputes and is a member of the Panel of Mediators for the American Arbitration Association and the Los Angeles Superior Court. She has also served as an expert witness in cases involving corporate and partnership law.
Prior to joining the UCLA faculty, she was General Counsel for ASSE International, Inc., a nonprofit public benefit corporation, and an associate at the law firm of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger.
