Biography
Jamila Aman Strategist and Lead Consultant and Superb Grant Writer
Jamila Aman is an independent Consultant, Activist in Human Rights and Equity, Researcher operating under Premier Canadian Business Solutions. Jamila has assisted numerous organizations in Toronto and internationally with capacity building, strategic planning sessions, program evaluation, grant development, fundraising, grant writing, public speaking and public speaking to name a few. Jamila has conducted research project for York University, Black Creek Shared Services project, Toronto Neighborhood Centers (TNC) on non-for-profit merger and integration, social enterprise and disability support services.
Jamila worked for Northwood Neighborhood Series for 25 years as Executive Director. Additionally, Jamila has worked for York University TD Community Engagement Center and taught conflict management at Humber College, Community Justice Program.
Jamila sat on numerous boards of directors on local, national and international organizations, including but not limited to AGDEN, African Gender Development and Evaluation Network, United Way of Toronto and York Region, George Brown College, Humber College, Sheridan College, Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), Toronto Neighbourhood Centers (TNC), Canadian Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (CCR) and the Learning Disability Association Toronto Chapter (LDATC), just to name a few.
Furthermore, Jamila Aman is currently pursuing her PhD in Education and her past educational background includes Master’s Degree in Leadership, post graduate Certificate in Marketing, undergraduate in Business Administration, specialized in General Management, and Public Administration. Jamila attended Royal Roads University, Liverpool University, York University, Ryerson University, George Brown College and Centennial Colleges.
