Jacques de Swart MBA (41) is professor of applied mathematics. Jacques teaches courses within the scope of Accounting, Controlling and Credit Rating advisor at Nyenrode Business University and New Business School Amsterdam. He executes research on risk quantification and risk equalization in applied mathematics.

Jacques studied mathematics at Utrecht University and graduated in 1997 from the University of Amsterdam at the department of computational science. His dissertation covered modeling, analysis and simulation of business processes. In 2005 he received the MBA degree from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Other positions

His chair at Nyenrode Business Universiteit is sponsored by PwC. Jacques works there as a consultant in the Advisory Group. In that position he was director of the Quantitative Analysis Group. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Statistical Auditing Limperg Institute, a scientific collaboration between five universities with postgraduate training and accountant NIVRA (an organization for certified accountants). Together with the Institute for Limperg he is currently developing a statistics course for auditing for all universities with a postgraduate accountancy program.
