Dr. Ishtiaque Fazlul is a research intensive clinical assistant professor of economics at Kennesaw State University and an affiliate faculty at the Education Economics Center. Dr. Fazlul's work focuses on estimating the effects of policies and institutions related to education and health and developing accurate measures for policy-relevant variables. Dr. Fazlul has published articles on measuring student poverty and disadvantage in the K-12 space, the determinants of Advanced Placement course and exam-taking behavior, and the effects of the Affordable Care Act and its various components on insurance coverage and coverage disparity. Dr. Fazlul received his PhD from Georgia state University in 2020. He was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Missouri before joining Kennesaw State.
