Biography

Ho Kim is an Associate Professor of Digital and Social Media Marketing at University of Missouri-St. Louis. He holds a Ph.D. from UCLA, an M.S. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Korea, and a Bachelor's degree from Yonsei University, Korea. He teaches Digital Marketing Strategies and Measurement (MBA), Marketing and Business Analytics (MBA), and Marketing Analysis (Undergraduate). He is an active researcher in online word-of-mouth, online search, content analysis, pricing of online products, and advertising of experience products. He uses econometric/statistical models and content analysis techniques to understand how firms’ marketing activities influence consumers.

He has published at leading journals in marketing and business, such as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, and European Journal of Marketing. His research has been featured at various outlets, including Forbes, Huffington Post, and The Globe and Mail. He was also invited by the Maeil Business Newspaper (South Korea's leading business daily) to introduce his 2017 Journal of Interactive Marketing paper for practitioners. He is a recipient of the 2019 Emerald Literati Award and the 2019 Durand Award for Research Excellence.
