Heshan Sun

Dr. Heshan Sun is a Professor and Richard Van Horn Professor in IT and Analytics, in the Management Information Systems Division, at University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. He received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University. He is interested in how information systems profoundly influence and interact with individuals, organizations and society. Specifically, his research interests include human-computer interaction, post-adoptive system use, trust and e-commerce, and business analytics, among others. His research has been published (or will appear) in prestigious academic journals such as the MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Internal Journal of Human-Computer Studies, and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, among others. He has been on the Top-100 Rankings of Researchers list that is based on the six prestigious information systems journals. He has also been recognized in various bibliometric study as one of the top researchers worldwide. He served as an associate editor of MIS Quarterly (2014-2017) and is currently a Senior Editor of AIS Transactions on HCI. He also has served on the editorial board of several other journals. He won the prestigious Reviewer of the Year (2011) Award from MIS Quarterly.

He enjoys teaching at undergrad, graduate, and Ph.D. levels and has received several teaching awards such as Houston and Mary Jo Johnson Master Teacher Award (2020, Price College, University of Oklahoma), the Graduate Teaching Excellence Award, and the MBA Professor of the Year Award.

He happily lives in Oklahoma with his wife Xue (Snow) Xiao, James (son) and Alice (daughter).
