Biography

I am a newly appointed lecturer in midwifery at the University of Manchester. I was the consultant midwife for intrapartum care and a supervisor of midwives at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Trust. My role included clinical leadership with a particular focus on normal birth, working on the delivery suite and in the 'consultant midwife' and 'vaginal birth after caesarean' clinics. My most recent previous role was as a medical writer. Through this role I developed writing and communications expertise, enhanced my research critical appraisal skills and gained valuable experience working outside of the NHS.
