Biography

Future London Academy

Helen holds a Masters in Computer Related Design from the Royal College of Art. She enjoys exploring the boundaries of technology and the possibilities it can offer. She’s been doing so since 1995 specialising in Interaction Design and User Experience, working with companies such as Philips, Nokia, Samsung and BT.

People-centred, empathic leader with a proven track record of design and development, team management and research in both academia and industry, client-side and agency.

Key to my roles has been the ability to think strategically around services, product development and design, whilst focusing on user needs.

I bring strong systemic thinking, research, problem-solving, creative and management skills. Building lasting relationships by demonstrating enthusiasm, drive and individual responsibility.

I am especially interested in new challenges, technology and product/service experiences that balance business and technology but meet the needs and desires of real people. I am also an advocate for Sustainable Design

Specialities: Service design, research, strategic planning, co-design, innovation, management, ideation, team leadership & mentoring, project & stakeholder management, business development, education.

Special interests: IoT, circular economy, systems thinking, systemic design for sustainability and the circular economy, cognitive inclusion and mental wellness.
