Background and Education

Heidi received her BA in Economics, with honors, at the University of California at Los Angeles, an MA in International Economics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, and a PhD, with distinction, in International Relations from American University. Prior to completing her PhD, she worked for the World Economic Forum and held management consulting positions, both in the private and public health-care sectors. She is currently writing a book based from her dissertation, "The productivity discourse: constructing the economies of France and the United States during the 20th century."
