Biography

Hariharan Krishnan received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 1992. He was a Visiting Assistant Research Engineer with the California PATH, University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, from June 1999 to June 2000. He is a Technical Fellow in the areas of connected and automated vehicles with the Electrical and Controls Systems Research Laboratory, GM Global Research and Development Center. Prior to joining GM in 2001, he was an Assistant Professor with the National University of Singapore, Singapore, from January 1993 to December 2000. He was awarded the prestigious U.S. Government Award for Safety Engineering in 2015. He received the SAE Arch T. Colwell Merit Award in 2013, the SAE Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Engineering Award in 2013, and the SAE ITS Award, Outstanding Long-Term Accomplishments to ITS in 2011.
