Overview

I am a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Respiratory Physician. I have a specialist interest in asthma and provide one asthma clinic at UHSM per week. I currently hold an Asthma UK Senior Clinical Academic Development Award (2014) to research the circadian biology of asthma.

Biography

I am from the North West and went to Cheadle Hulme school. I trained in medicine at Cambridge University (Newnham College) 1994-2000. I then trained in Respiratory Medicine in both the Eastern Deanery and North West Deanery. I completed a PhD (Wellcome Clinical Research Training Fellowship) at Cambridge University (Newnham College) 2006-2009. In 2012 I moved with my family to Lancashire and became a NIHR Clinical Lecturer at Manchester University. In 2014 I was awarded an Asthma UK Senior Clinical Academic Development Award for 3 years.
