Hamilton Lin, CFA, leads HL Capital Partners, Ltd. (HLCP), a diversified investment company focused on helping high growth companies expand by providing access to growth capital, building infrastructure and institutionalizing processes and systems. HLCP takes an active role with its portfolio companies, facilitating growth with hands-on operational, strategic, and financial advisory.
Hamilton was CFO & COO of The Great Room, a Singapore-based premium co-working firm inspired by hospitality. As part of the Founding Team, he was responsible for strategic implementation of expansion and fundraising through execution of controlled growth with operational and financial discipline.
He is also Founder & CEO of Wall Street Training & Advisory (WST), a leading global provider of training and advisory services. WST has a two-decades-long track record of servicing financial institutions, asset managers, market participants and regulators across all financial industry verticals, including investment banking, mergers & acquisitions, equity and fixed-income research, asset and investment management, credit analysis, private equity, hedge funds and LBO and special situations and distressed credit.
WST's advisory practice customizes solutions that integrate WST's specialized expertise, market insights, and best practices to improve clients’ financial and operational processes. WST focuses on assisting firms to maximize value while accessing the capital markets or exploring strategic alternatives.
Hamilton has previously worked at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, middle-market boutique investment banks, Ryan Labs and others. He is a former adjunct professor at NYU Stern, Baruch University and Hunter College in NYC. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has taught all levels and all study sessions of the CFA exam. He graduated from NYU Stern.
