Biography

Ian Macdonald is President Emeritus, York University; Professor of Public Policy and Economics and Director of the Master of Public Administration Program at Schulich School of Business. Prior to his time at York University, Ian has held positions as Chief Economist, Deputy Treasurer and Deputy Minister for the Government of Ontario. Ian has also received several prestigious awards including the Vanier Medal in 2000 for distinction in public service.
