Strathmore Business School

Professor Gracia S. Ugut, PhD is on the core faculty of the Executive Education and Lifelong Learning (EXCELL) Center where she served as Assistant Dean and Program Director of the Executive MBA Program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her research focus is on her fields of expertise: capital market development and derivative instruments.

Prior to joining AIM in 1998, Prof. Ugut's managerial experience was in the area of banking and finance, namely: treasury, risk management, corporate finance, and fixed income securities. She was vice president for operations, head of the corporate finance department, and assistant vice president in charge of corporate finance in PT Bank Mashill, which is partly owned by Bank Bruxelles Lambert, S.A. (Belgium). She was connected with Barents International Group LLC (a KPMG-Booz Allen Hamilton Company) as a Partner Consultant for a bank restructuring project in Indonesia. To-date, she provides consulting services in the areas of treasury, product structuring and risk management.

Prof. Ugut holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi (1991) and a Doctor of Philosophy in International Finance from the Vienna University of Economics (1995). She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at the Parahyangan Catholic University (1988) in Indonesia.
