Giovanna Prennushi is an independent consultant and lecturer with more than 20 years of experience as a development practitioner and researcher, focusing on poverty reduction strategies, poverty analysis, monitoring, and evaluation, and equity and development in various African and South Asian countries.

Bio
Giovanna Prennushi is an independent consultant and lecturer with more than 20 years of experience as a development practitioner and researcher. She worked at the World Bank from 1993 to 2015, focusing on poverty reduction strategies, poverty analysis, monitoring, and evaluation, and equity and development in various African and South Asian countries. She was part of the core team for the 2006 World Development Report on Equity and Development, and spent five years as Economic Advisor in the World Bank New Delhi, India office. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Laurea in Discipline Economiche e Sociali from Universita’ Bocconi.
