Biography
Haslam College of Business
Gerry Brown is the executive director of the Institute for Economic Stability (IES), a non-profit which seeks to apply supply chain processes to the stabilization and economic development needs of conflict-affected nations. Prior to co-founding IES, Brown was part of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) supply chain organization.
At Tufts Gordon Institute, Brown is a lecturer in process improvement and supply chain management. He previously worked at IBM-France, Andersen Consulting, Just-in-Time, Digital Equipment Corporation, and AltaVista. He graduated with a B.A. from Amherst College, and holds an M.B.A. from the Yale University School of Organization and Management, in addition to an executive diploma in economics from the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
