Biography

Singularity University

An expert in small machines including MEMS and nanotechnology. Currently employed full-time at DRS Technologies. We make thermal imaging detectors and systems. I also run the DRS Student Infrared Imaging Competition which gives University students access to state-of-the-art thermal imaging for any creative uses they care to pursue; and pays them if they do it best. The 2013 video entries are on this YouTube playlist. I also speak at Singularity University on Practical Nanotechnology, which includes MEMS and nano materials. I recently served on the Executive Program Committee for Transducers 2013, the premier international conference for research in Micromachines.
