Biography
Geoff read the LL.B at Lancaster University, graduating in 1995. He then went on to complete a PhD titled ''Legal Responses to Football Crowd Disorder'' at the same institution under the supervision of Prof Michael Salter. He was awarded his doctorate in 1999 and was employed at the Football Research Unit (FRU) at the University of Liverpool, where he taught Football and Law on their MBA (Football Industries) programme (FiMBA). The FRU was incorporated into Liverpool''s new Management School in 2002 and the following year Geoff became Director of Studies, a position he held until 2015 when he joined the Law School at the University of Manchester as a Senior Lecturer in Criminal Law. I am currently the Programme Director for the LLB Law with Criminology Programme.
