Current Research

Most of Solon’s research involves empirical analysis of labor market issues.  He presently is concentrating on the behavior of labor markets over recessions and expansions.  Some of the other topics on which he has conducted influential research are the intergenerational transmission of socioeconomic status, earnings dynamics over the life cycle, and microeconometric methods.
