Biography
International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
Gary A. Goddard is the retired actuary and pension officer for a large Canadian union pension plan where he was responsible for all aspects of design, funding, regulation, administration, governance and communication. During his career, he has worked with insurance companies, international employee benefits consulting firms, private and public benefit and pension plans, and many of Canada’s largest unions. Goddard is currently a professional trustee and chair of the board of trustees of the CUPE Education Workers’ Benefits Trust. He also serves as facilitator and chair of the Canada-Wide Industry Pension Plan and sits on the Central Advisory Group of the Anglican Church General Synod Pension Plan. Goddard is an instructor for the Master of Trust Management Standards (MTMS) program of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Shareholder Association for Research and Education. He has also served as subject matter expert for the Society of Actuaries Education and Examination Committee.
