University of Technology Sydney
Fred Chilton is a very experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a focus on the technology sector in all its manifestations throughout his long career. His decades of experience at Allens included heading up the Communications Media and Technology Practice Group and working for large technology and communication clients as well as venture capital and private equity.
His practice at Toomey Pegg includes working with founders at all stages of their journey from establishment and IP protection and business growth strategies through to investment rounds and exits.
For a number of years he has taught a Masters level course in IP Commercialisation at the University of Technology Sydney and is a co-author of the Lexis Nexis publication Commercialisation of Intellectual Property.
He is a past Vice Chair of the International Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association and a long-time member of LESANZ and IPSANZ.
