Biography

Henley Business School

Faten is a Lecturer in Marketing at Henley Business School. Her key research interests include digital marketing and customer relationship management with a focus on their adoption process and implementation. She believes that businesses need academic inputs for improving their performance in today’s competitive environment. This mainly explains her interests in organisations adoption of information technology and digital marketing in particular.

Faten won a scholarship to Oxford Brookes University to study her PhD in marketing. Alongside her PhD, Faten has an MBA from Coventry University, a BSc in Computer Information System, and a (Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education) PGCTHE. Among other academic engagements, Faten has presented aspects of her doctoral research at the most prestigious conferences of marketing such as the Academy of Marketing (AM), where her paper has been recently awarded the best paper in the CRM track.

Before joining academia, she worked as an IT developer and Technical Trainer responsible for delivering IT training to staff at different organisations across different industries.  After completing her MBA degree from Coventry University, her career changed direction; moving to the marketing department of leading firms in Middle East.

Having completed her PhD successfully and worked alongside a number of experienced PhD supervisors, Faten welcomes potential doctoral candidates with similar or complementary research ideas. These could be in the areas of relationship marketing, strategic marketing, and digital marketing with an interest in processes and implementation.
