Evan Rapoport is the Product Manager for the Rapid Evaluation Team at X (formerly Google X) Alphabet "moonshot factory" that develops breakthrough technologies to make the world a radically better place. In this role, he analyzes, advances, and kills many new ideas across a wide range of problem spaces. Prior to joining X in 2014, Evan was the product manager for Street View in Google Maps where he launched many key features and expanded Street View into several new countries. He has also started and launched many new products and features across Google, including in Search, Android, Social, Photos, YouTube, and Cardboard.
Before joining Google in 2011, Evan worked at small high tech companies in Hawaii where his projects included brain-computer interfaces for severely disabled individuals, wearable fatigue monitors, STEM teaching tools for K-12 education, and map-based storytelling products for adventure travelers.
Evan is also a volunteer mentor for start-up incubators, at Stanford Lean Launchpad, and has taught moonshot thinking workshops for large nonprofit organizations, Singularity University, government officials, and in K-12 classrooms. He passionate about the environment and ocean conversation issues.
