Eugènia Bieto Caubet

Eugenia Bieto is director of the Esade Women Initiative (EWI) and professor of the Department of Strategy and General Management at Esade Business School. She has been involved in the world of entrepreneurship where she became an expert with the creation and management of new companies, the implementation of strategic innovation programmes in companies and the development of new lines of business. She has also developed her career in the design and application of public policies encouraging entrepreneurship.

She has served as director general of Esade (2010-2018), deputy director of the Centre for Innovation and Business Development for territorial balance policies and has held several positions in the Institute for Small and Medium Industry from Valencia to promote business creation. She has collaborated with companies in implementing corporate entrepreneurship projects and has advised organisations on measures to promote entrepreneurship.

• ESADE: Director General (2010-2018), Corporate Deputy Director General (2006-2010), Deputy to the Dean (1980-1982) and Teacher in the Department of Quantitative Methods (1973-1982).
• Chair (2016-2018) of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education.
• Deputy Director of Territorial Rebalancing, CIDEM (Innovation and Business Development Centre), Catalan Government (1994-1997)
• Responsible for training and promoting business creation (1992-1994) with CEEI (European Centre for Innovative Companies), Alcoy (Valencia)
• Director of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the El Comtat and l’Alcoià zone of Alicante, DATO Association (education for persons with disabilities) (1988-1992)
