Biography
I am professor in logistics. My research concerns mainly the supply chain management, strategy and organisation of logistics operations.
Logistics from a strategic perspective
My research concerns the strategic role of logistics in the strategy of the firm. Logistics can contribute to cost reductions and improved delivery service, but also to improved profitability and growth for the company as a whole. In that case logistics becomes part of top management’s daily agenda.
Teaching
I teach and supervise master’s students and doctoral students in a wide range of logistics courses provided at the university. To teach future generations of logisticians is indeed a great source of inspiration!
