Biography

Quinlan School of Business

Eric is a scholar-practitioner in organization development. He has practiced as a consultant since 2004 with clients in financial services, manufacturing, health care, and non-profits, with projects including organizational culture assessment and development, leadership development, large-scale IT implementations, and change management. He worked in retail sales and management for 20 years prior to that.

Eric’s research and publications have included the characteristics and practices of scholar-practitioners, organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and change management. He has taught for most of the past 20 years at schools including Benedictine, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Loyola Chicago and Marquette. He is an active member of the Organization Development Network, the Academy of Management where he is the 2019 Program Chair of the Management Consulting Division, and serves as the Associate Peer Review Editor of the Organization Development Journal.

Eric’s education includes a doctorate in organization development from Benedictine University, an MBA with concentrations in economics and international business, an MA in economics, and a BS in psychology.
