Eric Braverman is CEO of Schmidt Futures, a venture facility for public benefit founded by Eric and Wendy Schmidt that advances the most promising ideas in technology, scientific breakthroughs, and paths to shared prosperity in society. (See schmidtfutures.com.) Prior to creating Schmidt Futures, Eric oversaw all philanthropic and non-investment efforts for the Schmidts and directed the family office.

From 1997 to 2013, Braverman was a partner and consultant at McKinsey & Company. Named by Fortune magazine in 2010 as one of the “40 Most Influential Leaders in Business” worldwide under 40 years old, he co-founded the firm’s public sector practice and counseled leaders of government, philanthropy, and media/technology companies around the world. In 2013 he became Chief Executive Officer of the Clinton Foundation and led the Foundation’s worldwide operations from 2013 to 2015.

Braverman also served as an advisor on performance management and technology for President Obama's transition team in 2008.

Braverman serves on various boards, including Arena Stage, the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Fund for Strategic Innovation, the Mory’s Association, the Schmidt Ocean Institute, and the Yale President's Council on International Activities. He earned his B.A. summa cum laude from Yale and his J.D. from the Yale Law School.
