Biography
Emily Pronin''s research interests include social psychology, misunderstanding and conflict, and judgmental bias. Her current research generally concerns the interplay between self perception and social perception. In particular, she is interested in cognitive and motivational phenomena that combine to influence such perceptions, and in the effects of these perceptions on personal identity, interpersonal misunderstanding, and intergroup (societal) conflict. Her experimental work aims not only to advance social psychological theory, but also to pursue implications for applied concerns ranging from international political conflict to mental health.
