Biography

Mendoza College of Business

I was born to communicate, teach, and work with others. My appetite for helping others succeed is nearly insatiable, and my identity lies in my extreme passion for and experience working with students of all ages and from all backgrounds.

I have worked in the field of education since receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and later Master's Degree in Higher Education. Currently, while managing the Integral Leadership Portfolio at the University of Notre Dame, I am working toward my PhD in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Student Personnel Services and Psychology. Throughout my vibrant tenure in Student Affairs, I have readily demonstrated an uncompromised passion toward student success. I have found, through my teaching and collegiate career counseling experiences, that my heart lies with embracing diversity and aiding all students in redeeming their pasts and authoring their futures. My ultimate goal is to help create men and women of influence that bring about a positive change in our global community.

As a teacher and coach, I have been nationally and locally recognized for providing excellent service to students to help them achieve their personal and academic goals. Additionally, my professional experiences have helped me develop an unprecedented confidence as a speaker: constantly presenting materials both professionally as well as informally. I have communicated, trained, and worked cooperatively with students, parents, school administration, and staff on a daily basis. Thus, I feel comfortable presenting ideas enthusiastically, speaking in front of a group, and building a rapport with a wide variety of people.

Above all, my educational background proves my immeasurable passion for education and helping others succeed.
