Presentation
I employ qualitative, Ethnographic research methods in my Ph.D. project, which focuses on undocumented immigrant youth in the United States. I am exploring how undocumented youth navigate their daily lives with this status, and how status presents challenges, restrictions, and potential human rights issues. I focus on youth who have grown up in the U.S. alongside American peers and have spent their formative years in the American educational system. I approach the project via an interdisciplinary background and use both socio-cultural theories and human rights framework in my analysis. Additionally, I am interested in culture, cross-cultural communication, and intercultural exchange.
