Edward G. Krubasik had built a distinguished career as a Partner and Director at McKinsey & Company for over 20 years in USA and Europe, before moving on to assume governance roles on Supervisory Boards and Corporate Councils with Siemens AG and many listed companies in Germany, France, USA and Japan. At Siemens AG, he focused on turnaround management, mergers and re-organisations as an active Chairman of many Siemens companies globally. Since 1998, Edward has been a Member of the Board of Dresdner Bank and later of the Central Advisors Council of Commerzbank, Frankfurt, of Stinnes AG, Essen, of KSB AG, Frankenthal, and of Covisint Corp., Detroit/USA. Since 2007 he has been Member of the Board and Chairman of the Strategy Committee of Vallourec SA, Paris, and ASAHI TEC Corp.,Tokyo. In 2008 and 2009, he was Chairman of the Board of Honsel AG, Meschede, as industrial partner of RHJ International, Brussels.

From 2004 to 2007, Edward was a member of the Executive Committee of the German Federation of Industry (BDI), held the position of President of ZVEI (Electrical Industry Association) and President of Orgalime, the European Engineering Industries Association, Brussels, and was Chairman of the Commission for Economic Growth and Innovation at the Economic Advisors Council for Germany and is leading a similar Commission for the Economic Council in Bavaria. He has been a member of the European Commission's High Level Group on Competitiveness, Energy and the Environment and Co-Chairman (with Commissioner Verheugen) of the Electra Taskforce developing a European industry sector growth plan.

Edward was elected President of the German Physics Society in April 2015 and serves as Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Munich, Director in Residence at INSEAD Fontainebleau, France, and Honorary Senator of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is a member of the Board of the Cultural Foundation of German Industries and of the School for Music and Theatre, Munich.

Edward studied physics at the universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Karlsruhe in Germany. After obtaining a doctorate in nuclear physics and following research projects at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in California, he completed an MBA program at the European Institute for Business Administration (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau, France.
