Biography
The King's Fund
Durka is a senior consultant in the Leadership and Organisational Development team. Before joining the Fund, Durka worked for NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group as Head of Population Health Improvement and Transformation supporting 13 health and care organisations to improve the health of 600,000 people across two London boroughs. She has also worked for Health Education England as a public health consultant and quality improvement specialist. Previously, Durka worked in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at King’s College Hospital and as a senior NHS commissioning manager in London.
Durka has experience of working across local, regional and international organisations to improve health and care by understanding needs, designing interventions to address these, evaluating outcomes, supporting system re-design and leading change on a large scale. Durka holds a Masters in health care leadership, a Masters in public health, a Fellowship in public health and was named NHS Emerging Leader of the Year by the London Leadership Academy in 2014.
