Biography
Dr. Dean Croushore is Professor of Economics and Rigsby Fellow at the University of Richmond. He came to the University of Richmond in 2003 after 14 years as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, where he rose to the rank of vice president. Dr. Croushore is a leading expert in the field of real-time data analysis, which studies the implications of data revisions for forecasting, monetary policy, and macroeconomic research. He is associate editor of the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. Dr. Croushore’s publications include articles in many leading economics journals. He is author of the Money-and-Banking textbook M&B, published by Cengage, and co-author with Andrew Abel and Ben Bernanke of Macroeconomics, 8th edition. Dr. Croushore is a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Real-Time Data Research Center.
