David Pfeifer

Adjunct Professor, Turnaround Management

Biography

David first joined Futures and Options as an Encore Fellow in January 2020, and has been the Director of Finance and Administration since January 2021. In this role he works with the leadership team to help improve the day-to-day support of programmatic and development operations, and manages the finance, HR and IT staff.

David started his career as a process engineer in a semiconductor wafer fab and since then has held a variety of roles including business investor, CEO, CFO, SVP Sales, and consultant. In addition to his management experience, David was an Adjunct Professor of Management at the Columbia Business School, and taught as a volunteer instructor for a NYC based non-profit that serves aspiring entrepreneurs. He holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Illinois, Urbana. He achieved Dean's List at both universities, and was Dean's Scholar and Beta Gamma Sigma while at Columbia. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, sailing, and wandering around NYC.
