David Gosset is a global affairs and international relations expert who is director of the Academia Sinica Europaea at CEIBS and the founder of the Euro-China Forum.

Fluent in French, English and Chinese, Gosset lectured at Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC, for the top French institution ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration), the Davos World Economic Forum Global Leadership Programme, as well as for large multinational corporations at the top of the Fortune 500.

Gosset founded the Academia Sinica Europaea, an intellectual interface between Europe and China, and he has also established the Euro-China Forum which creates the conditions for a comprehensive dialogue between the two edges of Eurasia. Former French President Jacques Chirac noted that the Euro-China Forum has been “since 2002 a unique platform for exchanges between the European and Chinese civilizations”.

A sinologist, Gosset has written extensively on China’s transformation and its global impact. His comments have been published in the International New York Times (former International Herald Tribune), the Huffington Post, Forbes and also carried in major Chinese and Asian media. Gosset has been interviewed by China Central TV (CCTV), Bloomberg TV, CNN, Russia TV and others. His analyses have also been published by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

By a decree signed by the President of the French Republic François Hollande on December 31 2014, Gosset became Knight of the Legion of Honour (Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur).

Gosset has also been awarded the “Cross of the Civil Order” by the then King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, for his work with the Academia Sinica Europaea.

Gosset is a Member of the Board of several European Companies and Institutions. In 2013 he was invited to join the High Advisory Council of the International Cooperation Platform (ICP) under the patronage of Abdullah Gul, the 11th President of the Republic of Turkey.
