Biography

Dr David Wu Bin-Chia has a PhD in biostatistics from the National Yang Ming University in Taipei, Taiwan. He is currently Adjunct Senior Lecturer of Monash University Malaysia where he established a successful health economics research program. His diverse research activities centered around generating evidence through economic evaluations based on various economic modelling and biostatistical approaches to inform healthcare policy decision-making. He has collaborated extensively with international institutions including National Institute of Health (USA), World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control in Taiwan, University of the Philippines, National Vaccine Institute of Thailand, and the Malaysian Ministry of Health and has provided expert advice and technical support to many pharmaceutical companies e.g. GSK, Pfizer, Novartis, Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim and Johnson & Johnson in the areas of health economics and outcomes research.
David has co-authored more than 70 articles/abstracts that have been published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at international conferences. He is also an editor and statistical adviser for a number of international journals e.g. Journal of Medical Economics, Archive of Pharmacy Practice and Journal of Clinical Practice and Health Sciences. He currently a member of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research (ISPOR), Taiwan Chapter of International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research (TASPOR), and the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM). He has been invited as speaker at many national and international conferences and forums and instructor for a number of health economics short courses for academia and pharmaceutical companies nationally and internationally.
