Dr. Darren Bernard’s research focuses mainly on the interplay of product market competition and financial reporting decisions, among both public and private firms. He is also interested in the role of competition in inter-firm information acquisition, as well as several other topics, including the effects of dispersed stock ownership on various dimensions of public company performance.
