The University of Auckland Business School
Dr Daniel Vidal is a general management consultant with strong hands-on systems and business strategy development experience gained in top international companies. He has an extensive consulting and advisory background with specific strengths in IT-driven transformation, strategy, business performance enhancement, and improving competitive position. Examples of clients include Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Ricoh, AssureQuality, Competenz, The Radio Bureau, Millennium Hotels, The Professionals, Shiseido, Sanitarium, and SKF.
Daniel provides advice on business and systems strategic planning processes, change management and industrial psychology to both large and entrepreneurial organisations. He also has a broad range of skills covering business process redesign and industry analysis. Previously, he held the positions of ICT Manager and Executive Committee Member at Thomas Cook (UK) and Principal Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. He also held line management positions with Ford Motor Company, Air New Zealand, ExxonMobil and General Electric.
Daniel is a regular facilitator for the Business School’s MBA, Executive Education, Master’s in Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship, and Master’s in BioScience Enterprise programmes. As an experienced practitioner and lecturer, Daniel brings a unique blend of practical, hands-on experience plus strong learning facilitation skills.
