Executive School of Management, Technology and Law

Daniel Seiler is responsible for the IT-Projects of Switzerland's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and focuses in this function on managing projects by connecting cybersecurity, compliance, law, technology and ethics. He is also delegate of Switzerland in OECD’s Working Party on Security in Digital Economy (SDE). Previously, he was the deputy head of the Federal Post and Telecommunications Surveillance Service (2009-2015) and was responsible for the operational unit as well as for the design and implementation of a new telecommunication surveillance case system. As Head Legal Transformation & Technology Law at KPMG Switzerland (2015-2019) he was developing applications and methodologies for digital transformations of law firms and led numerous projects for multi-national companies regarding privacy and security compliance. In his position as deputy head of Cyber-Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2019- 2021), he was responsible to oversee and implement the international measures foreseen in Switzerland’s Cybersecurity Strategy, which included, among others, participation in processes from UN, OSCE, OECD and G20 as well as capacity building in the field of cybersecurity. As a visiting lecturer at the University of St. Gallen Law School (HSG) and at Zurich School of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), he lectures EU and Swiss Privacy Laws, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Daniel Seiler graduated cum laude from Basel University (2007, MLaw) and expanded his knowledge through further education in international compliance (CAS, 2018), project management and leadership.
