Professor Ranalli has extensive experience as an arts administrator, curator, art critic, and gallery director. He has worked as a consultant to the National Endowment for the Arts and numerous state arts councils developing programs for artist support. As an artist, his work is in the permanent collections of more than twenty-five museums in the U.S. and abroad including the Museum of Modern Art (NY), Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Smithsonian National Gallery of American Art. Daniel has participated in over one hundred and thirty solo and group shows throughout the U.S. and abroad. For a dozen years he wrote on arts issues for several regional and national publications.
He has also served on the Board of Trustees and on the Education and Collections Committees of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Ranalli founded the Master of Science in Arts Administration in 1992 and continues to serve as director of the program.
