Daniel Liebau

Daniel Liebau is the founder of Lightbulb Capital, a consulting and advisory firm focusing on innovation. He was COO and an executive director of HSBC Securities (Singapore) Pte Ltd, and also head of IT for HSBC’s Investment Bank. He has over 19 years of experience in investment banking technology in Germany, the UK, Singapore and Tokyo.

He is an affiliate faculty member at Singapore Management University, specialising in innovation in finance, fintech, blockchain, and digital assets. He is also a visiting professor at IE business school in Spain. Dan is currently working towards his PhD at RSM researching blockchain and its effects on finance. He has an MSc in Innovation and a Master in Finance.
