Daniel Lansberg-Rodriguez is Director for the Latin American region at Greenmantle LLC, a macroeconomic and geopolitical advising firm. He is also an at-large fellow for the Comparative Constitutions Project. His teaching and research focus include geopolitical risk, corruption, political economy, country branding and constitutional and institutional development.

Daniel is a biweekly political columnist for the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional and a regular contributor to Foreign Policy Magazine, the Financial Times, The Atlantic and the New York Times. He has also written for Forbes, the New Republic, the New Yorker, Harpers, the Washington Post, the Economist, Boston Review and the Los Angeles Review of Books (among others). His academic publications likewise include articles in the UCLA Law Review, POLITAI, and the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. He has taught courses at Harvard University, and guest lectured at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, New York University Stern School of Business, the United States Airforce Academy and IESA Business School in Caracas.

A frequent commentator in international media he is a frequent guest on CNN, France24, NTN24 and Al Jazeera, as has appeared on syndicated radio including NPR All Things Considered and the Diane Rehm Show.From 2005-2007, Daniel worked at Fundacion Eugenio Mendoza where he specialized in urban microfinance, and from 2009-2010 he served as the division chief for entrepreneurial development at the Sucre Municipal Government in Caracas, Venezuela. Other past work experience also includes the private wealth management division of Goldman Sachs, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
