Daniel Rascher teaches, publishes research & consults on sports and entertainment topics. He specializes in economics, finance, industrial organization, antitrust, M&As, valuation, damages, class certification, analytics, econometrics, economic impact, market readiness, feasibility, marketing research, strategy, & labor issues in the sports industry. As Founder & President of SportsEconomics, LLC, Partner at OSKR, LLC, and former Principal at LECG, LLC, his clients on more than 100 engagements have included organizations involved in the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA, NASCAR, MLS, PGA, media, sporting goods and apparel, professional boxing, mixed martial arts, minor league baseball, NHRA, AHL, Formula One racing, Indy Car racing, American Le Mans racing, Premier League Football (soccer), women’s professional soccer, professional cycling, endurance sports, Indian Premier League, ticketing, IHRSA, youth sports, music, as well as sports commissions, local and state governments, CVBs, tourism, entrepreneurs, and B2B enterprises.

Dr. Rascher received his Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley. He is Director of Academic Programs & Professor in the Sport Management Program at the University of San Francisco (USF), where he also has taught courses in sports economics and finance and research methods. He has also taught at Northwestern University, the IE Business School in Madrid, and UMass. He has authored over 70 articles and book chapters, as well as a text book, Financial Management in the Sport Industry, and has given over 100 presentations at conferences. He has been named Research Fellow of NASSM, received the ASMA's Scholar Lifetime Achievement Award, and is also certified as a valuation analyst (CVA) by the NACVA.

He has been named as an expert witness in 30 cases, testified at 4 federal trials and 3 arbitrations, given over 20 depositions, written 36 expert reports, and given dozens of public testimonies to government.
