Biography

Alliance Manchester Business School

Senior Lecturer and Executive Education Programme Director at Alliance Manchester Business School. My focus at AMBS is on development of Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeships, business development and executive education curriculum design. Before joining the University of Manchester I was the Director of MBA Apprenticeships at Manchester Metropolitan University. I have a PhD from the University of Liverpool Management School, UK.

My work, funded by the ESRC, examined the agglomeration and development of video game and life science/healthcare industries in the Liverpool City Region in collaboration with Liverpool Vision. Whilst at MMU I have been closely involved with the curriculum design, development and delivery of degree apprenticeships at both an undergraduate and now postgraduate level. During my academic career I have taught across both management and geography maintaining an interdisciplinary perspective in my both teaching and research.

I have formally held the Faculty Representative position to MMU Academic Board which advises the Vice-Chancellor on the University’s academic and other activities. In particular matters relating to awarding taught and research degrees. Within the Businesses School I have experience as level 6 Year Manager, leading Business and Management programmes on and off campus from levesl 4-7 and improving student experience for NSS.
