Claudia Gehlen

Claudia is passionate about empowering senior executives, helping them reflect and step out of their autopilot mode. Challenging their thinking she enables leaders to turn their insights into powerful habits that enhance their leadership impact, decision-making and ultimately work life satisfaction.

She started her career with Siemens Belgium, where she became the youngest female manager in a leading position. For the past 25 years, she has been working in Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai with educational institutions and corporate teams of more than 40 nationalities.

At the business school INSEAD she wrote a wide range of studies focusing on strategy, marketing, entrepreneurship, negotiation and innovation. She further served as Vice-President for the Belgium Luxembourg Business Group and lectured at the National University of Singapore.

In addition to being an affiliate with Awaken Group, Claudia is the founder of Insearch Consult, specialized in executive coaching and leadership facilitation for clients worldwide. She designs and facilitates experiential workshops on Leadership Development, Change Management, Critical and Creative Thinking, Cross-Cultural Communication, Interviewing Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Management, as well as Presentation and Negotiation Skills.

Certified in Hogan, Team Diagnostic Assessment and DiG (Discovery Innovation Growth), Claudia is experienced in a variety of psychometric tools, such as StrengthsFinder, Global Executive Leadership Inventory (GELI), Leadership Skills Inventory (LSI), Lifo, MBTI I & II, Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, DISC and Harrison Assessments.

Claudia is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF). At INSEAD, she works as IGLC coach and Entrepreneur-in-Residence. She is further accredited with the Belgian Export Agency to support entrepreneurs in their drive to become global players. She was awarded a full scholarship by the Austrian Foreign Ministry to earn her Master’s Degree in International Economic Relations. At INSEAD she furthered her studies in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, International Management and Global Leadership.

Having lived in Europe, the US, Singapore and China Claudia is fluent in German, French, English and Dutch and speaks conversational Chinese and Spanish.
