Singapore Management University

Clarence is Assistant Professor of Accounting (Practice) and Director, Professional Development at the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University (SMU).

His research interests are in the area of judgment and decision making in financial disclosure, financial information comparability, and data & analytics in accounting. His work has been published in international accounting journals and in media outlets such as CEO Magazine and The Business Times.

Prior to joining SMU, Clarence led the Asia-Pacific Corporate Research team at Jones Lang LaSalle (Corporate Solutions). He has also held various accounting and finance appointments with Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

Clarence holds a PhD in Accounting and a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University. He is also a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
