Biography
Sauder School of Business
I am Associate Professor of Marketing and Behavioural Science at UBC Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. I am currently holding the Finning Junior Professorship in Marketing. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis and my B.S. degree from School of Management, Fudan University.
My research focuses on quantifying the economic and market impacts of technology. I have published papers on top tier marketing journals such as Marketing Science. I explore various topics including mechanism designs in online advertising platforms, economic value of online reviews, impact of online secondary market on sports marketing, behavioural pricing in the online diamond market, and the impact of mobile hailing apps on taxi drivers in research.
At UBC Sauder, I teach courses on Market Research, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization and Business Analytics for undergraduate, graduate, and MBA students. I am a recipient of the UBC Killam Teaching Prize.
